Who Am I?

Ben

Bon vivant with a joi de vivre

How'd I get here?

A professional with an insatiable desire to improve professionally and professionally. Beginning my career in the non-profit sector, taught me altruism, resourcefulness, thick skin, and tremendous empathy.

My next stage, professionally, was a move into non-profit banking: a credit union. I was fascinated by the positive effect that financial literacy could have on someone's life. Inspired and in love with the idea of helping improve lives in such a profound way, I harnessed my inside sales role into hundreds of opportunities to solve financial puzzles alongside the members of the credit union.

My next step was to earn my securities licenses and get "insider knowledge" on the workings of investment tools and the wonders of compounding growth. This experience deepened the emapathy for financial customers and the perceived esoteric nature of finance.

The next few years only be described as a crucible. The learning required by the securities licenses lit a desire to augment the business acumen lacking from the liberal arts education. Wake Forest's MBA program for working professionals was the solution to the problem and would give me a crash course in the language of corporations and executives that were in charge of leading said corporations. Reading the growth trends and city development announcements, I decided to enroll in a coding bootcamp in parallel to my master's curriculum. I was resolute to pivot my career into technology.
